LINKS HOTEL AT HOPE ISLAND, GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA
5-STAR RESORT WITH GOLF AMENITIES

PROJECT BRIEF

The Site comprised three plot parcels of a large golf course with bordering waterways and an existing colonial style building with supporting programs. The proposed development would create a 5-star rated resort with 150+ exclusive rooms, large function spaces, F&B areas and enhanced golf club facilities.

The proposed development needed to seamlessly integrate with the existing built form in terms of use of spaces, circulation as well as aesthetics. The site offered several challenges such as very tight construction clearances from boundary and existing building, integration of old and new services, loading area lacking easy connectivity with the hotel wing and challenging flood levels. The hotel wing was laid out to exploit best views out. The function, spa and F&B areas used up most of ground level with a good interflow between spaces. The exterior was kept simple with integration of Swissotel design aesthetics.
